Curiosity About Mars

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate NASA, and all the projects that made the Curiosity landing on Mars possible. This is a proud day for the American space program. It is important to remember the efforts of everyone working on this project, and to recognize that this is a day that the entire Earth should be proud.

No program today would be where it is without the efforts of scientists and dreamers alike the world over. Today begins the reality only imagined by those who dared to dream big and reach really (really) high. A brilliant new reality will trickle down from our neighbor in the solar system, our first partner into the journey of where there is to go from here.

With this challenge accomplished, the dreams of tomorrows pioneers will stretch the limits of our perspective, and hopefully remind value to the precious field on which our existence has been painted thusfar.

Here's a link to the www.nasa.gov site for anyone who wishes to check out what happened last night.

Here's a link to a youtube video simulation of the landing process, a pretty amazing concept and design www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFq9jMxWJhA
